Ingredients
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 4 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 beef sirloin steaks
- 2 sweet bell peppers, any color
- 1 onion
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Optional for serving: cooked rice; sliced green onions
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 450°F / 233°C. Spray a large, rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray (if desired, line with foil first for easy cleanup). Set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, ginger, and pepper. Set aside.
- Place sirloin steak sliced into thin strips, bell peppers (deseeded and sliced), and sliced onion in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Pour half of the sauce (about ⅓ cup) over top and toss to coat.
- Roast beef and vegetables for 10-14 minutes, or until beef is cooked to desired doneness (about 145°F / 233°C for medium-rare).
- Then add the remaining sauce, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve over rice, if desired.
